Christmas 2009

Our first Christmas together. We got up on Christmas morning and ate breakfast, then Jasmine went down for a nap and slept for an hour and a half. After she finally got up, we opened presents with her first. We then got on the webcam with Grandma Bailey. It was fun getting to see her. We then talked briefly on the webcam with Grandpa & Grandma Robson because Jasmine was worn out from all the excitement from opening presents. We talked with them again later. We went over to some friends for dinner and hung out with them all evening. It was a good first Christmas.

My first Christmas photo.

New toys to play with if I could figure out how to hang on to them.

I love getting new books.

Lots of new clothes.

My aunt Leah is the best!

More cute clothes

Grandma Robson got me an alligator puppet.

I'm a South Carolina girl (I just don't know it yet.)

Happy baby.

Summer getting curious.

Is it time for a nap yet? All this excitement has worn me out!

1st day back to work

Monday was my first day back to work. It's definitely different being back and not getting to spend the whole day with Jasmine, but I'm sure I'll adjust. Monday evening was definitely difficult as she didn't sleep Sunday night and didn't want to take her naps during the day. So by the evening she was tired, cranky, and hungry - not too pleasant to be around. So we put her to bed early and I had a meltdown. Today was much better. She slept pretty well last night, took her naps today, and I actually got some smiles when we got home. I know it will get better with time.

Last week at home

This is my last week at home with Jasmine. I can't believe how fast the time flew by. We visited her daycare yesterday and she gave lots of smiles to the two ladies who will be taking care of her. I'm really happy with the daycare and know she'll be well taken care of, but I still don't want to go back to work. For right now though, I know this is what God has for us and everything will work out. We finally got a cute Christmas picture of Jasmine in her Christmas dress. She's getting really big and is learning new things every day. Today she's really been trying to grab her toes. She is in her 3-6 month clothes and she isn't even 3 months yet!
Posting will probably become sporadic as I go back to work, but I will try my best to get pictures up.

Camera Repair

So I haven't posted pics in a while because we sent the camera off to be repaired. It had 3 dead pixels and was still under warranty. Hopefully we'll have it back this next week just in time for Christmas.

1st Thanksgiving

Grandma & Grandpa Robson came out for Thanksgiving. We had a good time and went up to Breckenridge on Friday. On the Monday after Thanksgiving, Jasmine had her 2 month check up and all is well. Official weight is 11.4 lbs and 23.5" long. She had to get a few shots which was no fun for either me or her. She's doing well though and starting to sleep through the night on occasion. She's really starting to smile and interact which I am thoroughly enjoying. I finally have the house decorated for Christmas. Jasmine looks at the lights a little bit, but black objects are still her favorite things to look at. - pool table, speakers, light fixtures.

She fits perfectly in the laundry basket.

Go Penn State!!!

Chillin' with Grandma.

In her Grandpa shirt. I had to put a bow on her head so people would not call her a boy.

Good times with Grandpa.

Grandma has the touch.

On our way to Breck.

Holding on tight to daddy.

Our happy girl. She's getting so big lately. Last night I went to put her in her pj's and they were all too small for her. I had to break out the 3-6 month ones and she fit into those just perfectly. She's only 2 months old!

Jasmine - 8 weeks old

Jasmine is 8 weeks old today! She's 24" and a little over 11 lbs by my measuring/weighing calculations. She's starting to interact more and attempts to mimic my facial expressions. I love it when she smiles and makes her surprised faces. She also loves to hang on to blankets or burp clothes are acceptable too. She hasn't quite figured out how to hold onto the toys yet, but hopefully soon. She's sleeping well at night 7-8 hours, and then another 5-6 on a regular basis. I love watching her grow and develop but at the same time I'm starting to miss the newborn things like how little her head was, and her wimpy cries.

Turning 30

I've finally joined the 30's club! We had a party last night and Zach had a little fun with the cake (which he made by the way.) He surprised me with the my gift - a Kitchen Aid Pro 600 mixer. I've been saving for this for a couple years now and he got it for me. Here's some pics of the evening.

I didn't quite make it in one breath.

October 2009 Snowstorm

We got our first snowstorm of the season and it's only October! It started snowing on Tuesday night (10/26) and hasn't stopped yet. The storm should wrap up by tonight though. So far we have gotten 14" (10/28 at 12:00 pm). Here are some pics.

5 weeks old

Jasmine is getting so big so fast. Along with that she has found her screaming cry and is using it frequently. I'm definitely learning about my patience level (& the lack there of.) God has been showing me through my lack of patience & love about his unending patience and everlasting love. Yes I know it sounds bad to say that there are times that I have to choose to love my daughter, but I think all moms feel that way sometimes. Thankfully God never feels that way towards me and that He always truly loves me, no matter what I have done or how I have treated him.
Here's some pics I took yesterday when she was awake and smiling.

One Month Old

I can't believe my little girl is already one month old today. Time flies by so quickly.
