Staying Home

July 15th was my last day at work. It was a bittersweet day; I would be leaving people that I had become friends with. I had worked at Encana ever since we moved out here which was almost 6 years ago. God provided an awesome job for me at an unbelievably good company. He always does more than we could ask or think. Again, God has enabled us to allow me to stay at home now with Jasmine. It is a definite change of pace; so far I'm loving it. It's so fun and exciting so see her smiles when she wakes up from her naps, see the simple things that make her squeal with delight, and I'm just enjoying every minute I have with her. I know there will be challenging days and days that I wish I was back at Encana, but I know deep down that this is where God has me for now (and I hope a long time) and to treasure everything.

What dad? I wanted some cheerios.

Camping

We all went camping over the 4th of July and had a great time. We went to Elbert Creek Campground in Leadville - beautiful area! We had a little bit of rain on Friday evening and then gorgeous weather the rest of the time. Jasmine did great and was quite the trooper. It was difficult at times since she is crawling, but that's one of the many reasons why they make baby wipes. THe days were in the mid 70's and at night it got down into the mid 30's - just a tad chilly. Jasmine had a hard time staying under her blankets and kept getting cold, so we brought her into our sleeping bag - a first. She slept, but I don't think Zach or I did. Nevertheless, we enjoyed being out in creation and just relaxing for a whole weekend. Here's some pics of the trip.
